whats the scariest (><) movie uve seen

i'll have to check that one out- sounds creepy

theres been so many lately its hard to keep track- i usually skip renting the super-scary ones though because my wife and i watch them with our 3 year old boy.

Demons - That movie scared the bejebus outta me when I was a kid. I still get freaked watching it now. I don't think I'd watch it alone. 

Alien - I agree with RD. This movie was/is creepy.

Cube - It was a small Canadian production done by some film students out of Toronto. Don't let that turn you off though; it is very creepy. Root Down or Freewheelin' may have seen it. There were some sequels, but none were as well done as the original. It actually stars Ezri Dax from Deep Space Nine. Super cutie. 

Aside from that, I would have to mention The Exorcist, 28 Days Later...I'm drawing a blank here. I'll have to think some more.

Oh and you're not the only one Cash who didn't think The Ring was very scary. The only part that freaked me out was that one brief camera shot of the girl in the closet who saw the ghost. Eek. The face was gruesome.

Anyways, I love horror movies. I'm always longing for good sci-fi and horror movies, or sci-fi/horror (i.e. Alien and Sunshine).

I'll have to put Sunshine in the "strange movie" thread.

Just watched À l'intérieur (2007) aka Inside.  Pretty scarey, really bloody.  Wouldn't suggest watching it if you are preggo.

I guess Beatrice Dalle is fishing for good roles since her amazing performance in "37°2 le matin". I just read the plot at wikipedia and it sounds really strange...

I'm looking forward to "Drag Me to Hell". Trailers look like it could be scary.

ive only ever actually been scared by a movie once... IT. terrified me as a kid. didnt take a shower for like a week after.

event horizon and the shinning also creeped me out.... no where near as much as it. and ive seen cube (and the sequal and prequal)... didnt think they were scarey at all.

lol. That's funny. IT bored me to tears, though I know some people have a thing about clowns. But Stephen King is probably the most sanitary horror writer of all times. The Shining was excellent, but I attribute that mostly to Kubrick.

Drag Me to Hell was great. Super funny, with some scares thrown in. Definitely in the same vein as the Evil Dead movies. I also just watched a Canadian made zombie flick "Pontypool". It was OK. A different take on the genre. Takes place in Ontario where a virus is spreading through words. Don't want to spoil too much. It's worth checking out though.

Saw this a few weeks ago, weird and enjoyable.  Sequel coming out in 2010.
